Biafra Restoration: How You Can Help

Biafra, officially the Republic of Biafra, and its people have experienced many challenges and inequality since they declared their independence on May 1967. They faced social, economic, and political/human rights violations from organizations like the Nigerian terrorist government, commonly known in Western media as Boko Haram.

Today many organizations, like our non-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey, are working hard to restore Biafra and raise the standard of living for its people. Here are a few things we and all of you out there can do to aid in the Biafra restoration:

• Raise Awareness About Human Rights Violation

  To help ensure that atrocities like the Biafra genocide never happen again. We should all help raise awareness about the importance of human rights in Biafra and surrounding communities. Oftentimes, developing communities cannot defend themselves against human rights violations. Due to the lack of education, many citizens do not even realize their rights are being violated.

• Support Educational and Healthcare Advocacies

  Due to war and terrorism, many schools, hospitals, churches, and daycares were destroyed in Biafra. Many non-profit organizations like ours could use the help of kind-hearted individuals to help raise the standard of living in countries like Biafra. Contributions will go to improving the standard of education, healthcare, and more.

• Help Lobby for Change

  We aim for Biafra restoration in New Jersey. But there is only so much a non-profit organization can do. With the help of your voices, we can lobby for representatives to communicate with the government in order to make efforts to promote the welfare of the Biafran people.
