Analyzing the Impact of Nigeria’s State of Lawlessness

Today, disagreements between groups and individuals are settled through the judicial process in civilized societies. Due to the rule of law, all persons are entitled to a fair trial, regardless of the situation, before punishment is meted if found guilty. In Nigeria, however, many Nigerians shun the instrumentality of the law in settling disputes and refrain from seeking legal support.

Nigeria is considered a lawless state and has experienced a series of extrajudicial killings. Hence, it’s important for the authorities to get to the root of the problem with an emphasis on using non-violent methods. Arbitrary arrests and systemic violence are unfortunately a harsh reality for many Nigerians.

That is why it is important to raise awareness about human rights violations and condemn those who continue to perpetrate acts of impunity and violence. The frequency of extrajudicial killings and reprisal attacks from citizens has frightening implications for peace and security in the nation. One way to prevent further violence and crime is to support the Biafra Referendum.

Biafra has faced countless challenges and events in the past that threatened their human rights and way of living. Biafra restoration in New Jersey aims to raise awareness about human rights violations and help lobby for change. This promotes peace, equality, and a bright future for its citizens.

To support and facilitate this positive change, we at RisingSun Charities Organization organize several campaigns and programs. As a non-profit organization in Newark, New Jersey, we are run by a group of volunteers who function worldwide. To learn how you can help, reach out to us today.
